Outside India
Loan management software for microfinance institutions, SACCOs, credit co-operatives, digital lenders and NBFC-equivalents
Byaj Batta runs a lender's whole operation in one system — origination, loan products, repayment schedules, field collection, savings, accounting, staff and a borrower app. It was built in India and runs Indian lenders every day. Outside India we bring the same core platform, set up in your currency and for your loan products, and we work with you to connect your local payment, KYC and credit bureau providers during onboarding.
What the platform does
One system for the whole lending operation — the same core that Indian lenders run on today.
Origination and approvals
Applications captured in the branch or the field, documents, field verification, credit assessment and a maker-checker approval chain, with the steps set per loan product.
Loan products and schedules
Flat or reducing-balance interest; daily, weekly, twice-monthly, monthly or custom-interval repayments; fees, penalties and grace periods set per product. Every schedule comes from one engine.
Group and individual lending
Groups with meeting days and leaders, joint-liability group loans, and individual micro-enterprise, salary, asset and SME loans on the same book.
Collections and the field app
Collection sheets by officer, group or route; an Android app for loan officers that keeps working when the signal drops; cash-in-hand tracked per officer until it is deposited.
Savings, deposits and shares
Savings accounts, fixed and recurring deposits and member share capital, on the same customer record as their loans.
Double-entry accounting
Disbursements, repayments, fees, penalties and write-offs each post a balanced journal. Trial balance, profit and loss and balance sheet come from the same ledger that runs the loans.
Portfolio quality
Portfolio at risk (PAR) buckets, days-past-due ageing and overdue lists by branch and loan officer, from live balances.
Multi-branch, roles and audit
Branch-scoped data, permissions down to the action, and every approval recorded against the person who made it.
Borrower app and website
Borrowers see their loans, schedules and receipts in their own app; your institution gets a branded public website with an online loan application.
HR and CRM
Staff records, attendance and payroll, and a pipeline for prospective borrowers and partners — so the back office does not need three more tools.
Who it is for
Microfinance institutions
Group and individual micro-loans, weekly centre meetings, loan officers in the field and PAR reported to a board or funder.
SACCOs and credit unions
Member savings funding member loans, share capital, guarantors and a board that wants the books to agree with the loan ledger.
Credit co-operatives
Members, shares, deposits and lending in one place, with approvals and an audit trail an inspector can follow.
Digital lenders
Online application through a borrower app or your website, configurable approval workflows, and servicing and collections behind it.
Finance companies and NBFC-equivalents
Consumer, vehicle, SME and salary loans across branches and dealer channels, with a general ledger behind every transaction.
By region
How the platform fits the way lending is done in each region, and what we connect locally.
How onboarding in a new country works
- 1
Scope
A call about your loan products, your regulator, the reports you file and the systems you use now. You get a written scope and a quote in your currency.
- 2
Configure products and currency
Your organisation is set up in your currency with your branches, loan products, fees, penalties, repayment frequencies and chart of accounts.
- 3
Connect local providers
We work with you to connect your local mobile-money or bank payment channel, KYC / identity checks, credit bureau and SMS provider — normally through each provider's API, on your own account with them.
- 4
Migrate your data
Customers, live loans, savings and opening balances come across from spreadsheets or your current system's exports; AI import maps arbitrary column headings so nothing is retyped.
- 5
Train and go live
Loan officers, branch managers and accounts staff are trained on their own screens, and we stay close through the first month-end close.
Plainly: every local integration that is live today is Indian. In your country, mobile money, bank payouts, identity checks, the credit bureau, SMS, tax and regulator returns are connected or built during onboarding — we scope them with you before you sign, and we will tell you if something does not fit.
Deployment
- ✓Cloud-hosted and run by us: updates, backups and monitoring included. Staff use a web browser; loan officers use the Android app.
- ✓Data hosted in your region on request, where your regulator or board requires it — agreed during scoping.
- ✓Each institution is a separate organisation with its own data, users and permissions.
Pricing
Priced per active loan — you pay for loans live on your book — and quoted in your currency. Onboarding, data migration, provider connections and any in-region hosting are scoped and quoted up front, before you commit.

Is Byaj Batta used outside India today?
Byaj Batta is built in India and runs Indian lenders, and that is where every local integration is live. The core platform is not India-specific — currency, loan products, repayment frequencies and the chart of accounts are configured per organisation — and we now onboard lenders in other countries, connecting local providers as part of each onboarding.
Which payment, KYC and credit bureau providers do you support in my country?
None is connected out of the box outside India. We work with you to connect your local payment, KYC and credit bureau providers during onboarding, usually through the provider's API using your own account with them. Until a connection is live, repayments are recorded with their transaction reference and identity documents are uploaded and checked by your staff.
Can it produce the returns my regulator asks for?
Not out of the box outside India — regulator formats differ by country. The data those returns draw on (portfolio, PAR, savings, share capital and the general ledger) is all in the system, and we scope the formats you file during onboarding.
Which currency does it work in?
Yours. Each organisation has one base currency, set at setup, and amounts, schedules, receipts and statements are shown in it. Several African and Asian currencies are already in the list; others are added during setup.
Where is our data hosted?
In the cloud, run by us. If your regulator or board requires data to stay in your country or region, we can host your instance in-region on request — we agree that during scoping.
What language is the software in?
Staff screens are in English today. If your field teams need another language, tell us in the demo so we can tell you honestly what is possible.
Can we start a free trial?
The self-serve trial is set up for Indian lenders — Indian currency, tax and integrations — so outside India we start with a demo on your own loan products instead. Book one below and we reply within one business day.
How is it priced?
Per active loan, quoted in your currency. Onboarding, migration and provider connections are scoped and quoted before you commit.
