Loan management software for microfinance banks and digital lenders in Nigeria and Ghana
In Nigeria and Ghana the same lender often runs two businesses: field officers collecting daily from traders, and a digital channel taking applications on a phone. Byaj Batta runs both on one book — an online application with an approval workflow behind it, and a collection app for the officers — with every naira or cedi posted to a double-entry ledger.
Who we work with in Nigeria and Ghana
Microfinance banks
CBN-licensed unit, state and national microfinance banks in Nigeria lending to traders, salary earners and small businesses.
Savings and loans, microfinance and rural banks
Bank of Ghana-supervised savings and loans companies, microfinance companies and rural and community banks.
Digital lenders
App-based consumer and SME lenders — including those registered with Nigeria's FCCPC — that need servicing, collections and accounting behind the app.
How it fits the way you lend
Online application, real approval workflow
Borrowers apply through your branded website or the borrower app and verify their phone by OTP; the application then goes through your verification, credit and approval steps. Nothing is disbursed without an approval.
Daily collection, susu-style
Daily repayment schedules with a route and a due list per officer, collected on the Android app — built for traders who repay from each day's takings.
Salary and payday loans
Payday loans with a single repayment on salary day, alongside instalment loans, each product with its own fees and penalties.
Overdue follow-up
Days-past-due ageing, PAR buckets and an overdue list by officer, with every follow-up recorded on the loan.
Books that agree with the loan ledger
Disbursements, repayments, fees and penalties post balanced journals as they happen; trial balance and P&L come from the same data.
Connected during onboarding
None of these is live out of the box outside India. We work with you to connect your local payment, KYC and credit bureau providers, and scope each one before you sign.
- →Bank transfer, card and mobile-money collections and payouts through your payment provider (for example MTN MoMo in Ghana), connected with your provider
- →BVN / NIN or Ghana Card identity checks through the verification provider you choose
- →Your licensed credit bureaus, for enquiries and data submission
- →SMS reminders through a local gateway
- →CBN or Bank of Ghana returns, built from data already in the system
Your currency, your pricing
Nigerian naira (NGN) and Ghanaian cedi (GHS) are already in the currency list.
Pricing is per active loan, quoted in NGN or GHS. Onboarding, migration and provider connections are scoped and quoted before you commit.
Hosted in the cloud and run by us; data hosted in-region on request.
Frequently asked
Can borrowers apply online without visiting a branch?
Yes. Borrowers apply through your branded website or the borrower app, verify their phone by OTP; the application then follows your approval workflow. Disbursal always needs an approval — there is no automatic disbursement.
Does it check BVN, NIN or the Ghana Card?
Not out of the box. Identity checks in Nigeria and Ghana are connected during onboarding through the verification provider you choose; until then your staff verify and upload the documents.
Does it support daily collection from traders?
Yes. Daily repayment schedules, a collection route and due list per officer, and collection on the Android app are standard.
Can it pay out loans to a bank account automatically?
Disbursal goes through an approval step and is recorded against the loan. Paying out through your bank's or payment provider's API is connected during onboarding — it is not live out of the box outside India.
Can it produce CBN or Bank of Ghana returns?
Not pre-built. The portfolio, PAR, deposit and ledger figures they need are in the system, and the formats are scoped with you during onboarding.
